Years -- years -- years

I cannot believe another whole year has gone by - more than a year.

I've not really worked during this time -- lived off of my savings/inheritance and earnings from it (play the Market - not all that successfully - quite a bit.) And thought. And thought some more.

Investigated opening a senior transition franchise - traveled to Cincinnati and did a huge amount of research. Talked to private owners of similar businesses and potential business partners.

Put myself through a three and a half month interview at my daughter's school for a job I didn't want and was overqualified for but then didn't get (yet I do an enormous amount of volunteer work there and am a trustee on the Board that manages the school . . . ) Good thing my ego is not inflated as that would have been a big burst.

Finally, a year after I considered it originally, I am in the process of opening a lice removal business. Yes, you read that right. I know. I know. CPA and graduate degree from an Ivy League institution and I'm going to pick bugs out of mostly kids' heads. Hey - it's a living. :) But really, hope to grow it quickly and open more than one location. And see comment about ego above and consider this further proof . . . .

My girls are great - my youngest at 3 is starting to make some large strides and my oldest at 6 is turning more into a teenager than ever. They are, without a doubt, the lights of my life and I sincerely thank my lucky stars (YEAH - THAT'S RIGHT, SISTER AQUAFREDDA!!) for them.

Lots of decisions with respect to school, where we're going to live, if we're going to stay in this geographic area, etc. Nothing's ever easy but I do feel fortunate to have choices.
